The Wine and Champagne Festival of Budafok has become one of the most prestigious international festivals in Budapest.

The oenologists of the Carpathian Basin come from different regions of historian Hungary such as Transylvania and Transcarpathia – and they are bringing their best quality crafts.

Budafok got famous for its wine trade and cellars. You can find in Budafok a 30 km long grubbed cellar in limestone which is unique in Europe.

But the subject-matter of the 20th Budafok Wine festival is not only the wine and champagne.

The festival is an important part and place of Hungarian minorities of oenologists from historian Hungary (such as Slovakia, Romania and Serbia) and of course the authentic Hungarian folklore music.
