Through the 15 classes of cultural adventure, participants can learn how things are made, what makes them really valuable, why one may consider investing in them. Useful tips about collecting, buying or selling can be acquired here. Thus, attendees can leave with an exhaustive knowledge on art and evaluating pieces of art.
Amongst the numerous services offered, the gallery makes its debut with the first art auction to be organized on November 6th. The lots of the auction comprise of the works of contemporary Hungarian artists, ranging from paintings, graphics, sculptures and videos to mobile items.

When referring to antiquities, Ecseri market is worth to be mentioned as one of Budapest's hot-spots in this field.
Eyes wide open, the talent in purchasing and good luck contribute to the bargain of the day, when only for a few bucks you can buy precious antique items that are worth a fortune. Vendors offer antique pieces, furniture (baroque, neo-baroque, secession, ancient German style), paintings, instruments, porcelain, jewelry, toys and household products.
Here one can even assist to quarrelings between the vendor and the buyer that is always the sign of intense chaffering. But, hey, this is a place where chaffering is allowed and it is right the essence of this market! While being for the first time here, it is advisable to take an expert with you. Before buying, you should decide the amount you are to offer for that item and bargain until price offered is accepted. If you do not want to buy anything, it is still worth visiting this market just to experience the atmosphere of a market of antiques in Budapest. What you should be aware of is that paintings purchased on the market, can be taken abroad only with a permit given by the Hungarian National Museum.

Numerous antique shops and second-hand bookshops can be found on both sides of this street, where a selection of precious paintings, ancient furniture and old goodies can be found at a considerable higher price that on the Ecseri market.
Budapest Art Fair 2010
This year, between November 18th and 21st, Antique and Contemporary Exhibition and Fair is to be organized at the Hungarian Art Hall (Mucsarnok, Dozsa Gyorgy ut 37.)
Apart of the classic works, this year contemporary national and international masterpieces are to b emphasized. Children are invited to experience the interactive play house, and art historian help groups of visitors to find their bearings among the works of art on display, in previously arranged times. Plays and video presentations are also available during the fair and the visitors are most welcome to attend to.
