From the airport

The Airport ('Ferihegy') is located within Budapest's city boundaries, 16 km from the City in an eastward direction, running alongside the Main Road Nr. 4. Budapest airport consists of 4 terminals: 1 (the old terminal), 2A and 2B, and last but not least GAT (for private aircraft).

Passengers can easily reach Ferihegy from Budapest's Western Railway Station ('Nyugati'). There are 60 trains on weekdays and 45 at weekends travelling from the city centre to the airport. Journey time is less than half an hour (for passengers in a hurry there are several InterCity trains to take them to or from Ferihegy airport).

Similarly to other airports, Budapest Airport operates a 'shuttle service' called 'Airport Minibus'. Passengers are taken directly to their requested destination on minibuses with a capacity of eight to eleven seats. Both the bus drivers and the staff at the booking desks speak foreign languages and they are fully conversant with Budapest and its traffic, including the simplest and fastest routes. The guests who use the Airport Minibus can obtain up to date flight information directly from the airport during their journey.

Budapest Airport is also easily accessible by Public Transport. Passengers are taken from Terminals 1 and 2 to Köbánya-Kispest metro station by a direct bus service (called Bus 200). From there you can reach Ferenciek tere on the "Blue" (line 3) Metro, from where you can take bus number 112. You should get off at the stop named Sirály utca, which is the final destination for guests residing at the Jagelló Business Hotel.

The Airport is easily accessible by car from any part of Budapest. Ferihegy can be reached in 20 minutes from the City along the "Ferihegy High-Speed Road". This road is separated by a barrier from normal, every day public traffic so that the Airport can almost always be accessed practically unhindered. For those who arrive by car, there are several parking facilities offered.
